Leong Leong’s strategy practice applies architectural thinking to the questions that precede design: identity, program, and organizational purpose. The practice operates independently from the studio’s building work. An engagement may result in a number of outcomes: a programmatic framework, a vision charter, or a design brief for example.
Each engagement begins with conversations alongside research: leadership interviews, staff and stakeholder workshops, cultural and historical analysis, and study of what an organization has been and could become. From this foundation we clarify issues and critical questions to resolve, then translate them into assets and systems designed to engage key stakeholders and audiences.
The practice has guided commercial brands, cultural institutions, and land-based organizations, including Sweetgreen, The Wing, Everlane, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Eaton Workshop, Artsy, RAY, MoMA PS1, the Los Angeles LGBT Center, and Sky High Farm.
