CBS Torre Corpo is a commercial office tower located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, prominently sited along Avenida Winston Churchill, one of the city’s primary commercial arteries. The building comprises a five-story parking podium and eight levels of office workspace, serving as a new architectural anchor in the heart of the bustling Piantini district—an area known for its dense concentration of high-rise development and retail activity.

Tasked with designing a new façade envelope for the existing structural massing, Leong Leong developed a contemporary approach to concrete formwork that addresses the region’s tropical climate while enhancing the tower’s visibility along the major boulevard. The design integrates deepened floor slabs and angled vertical fins to passively shade the floor-to-ceiling glazing, minimizing solar heat gain and glare throughout the day.

The parking podium is wrapped in an expanded metal mesh screen, balancing the need for cross-ventilation with visual continuity. Across the entire volume, the façade’s textured concrete palette and sculptural geometry unify the parking and office levels into a single monolithic form. The result is a bold, climate-responsive landmark that contributes a distinct architectural presence to Santo Domingo’s skyline.
